This blog aims to make the teaching of Computer Applications Technology (CAT) an interesting experience for those teachers and stakeholders who are prepared to think outside the box.CAT as a school subject has been unfairly criticized as a subject that is merely concerned with teaching(and by extension learning)computers for their own sake. But those who teach the subject know that CAT is much more than that...it is a powerful tool for learners to learn with ICTs.

ReplyDeleteIt is my belief that the teaching of CAT has a role to play ,especiqally in those setting where schools are under-resourced. I say this because CAT has been criticized as merrely being ccncerned with learning from computers. Those who teach this subject can attest to the fact that CAT is also very much about learning with computers.
